Working in partnership with Turner Broadcasting Europe Ltd, we’ve created an exciting and frantic App game called PowAPuff! featuring Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles, aka the Powerpuff Girls, and all their arch enemies and friends including Mojo Jojo, Professor Utonium, Hota Wata, Killa Drilla, and the Doot Da Doot Da Doo Doos.

Bash and smash as many enemies as you can that pop up on screen but avoid the girls and their friends in three seperate classic Powerpuff locations as your time winds down. Post your high scores on line both locally and worldwide.

U2 on DVD, Blu-ray and BD-Live

The Pavement have been working hard through April with the whole U2 team on bringing their U2360 World Tour to DVD and Blu-ray. This stunning concert along with 2 hours of bonus material was produced on a 2 disc DVD set with DVD-ROM, and a single Blu-ray which also includes a fantastic BD-Live section which The Pavement will be updating with footage, photos and fan content from this years leg of the tour.

This UK first BD-Live project was developed with our partners DynamicHD who developed the backbone that our creative ideas can ride upon.

The DVD and Blu-ray go on sale in June as the band begin the second leg of the Tour.

Jennifer has a Baby

On 6th March 2010 at 17:36, our Production Manager Jennifer gave birth to a beautiful baby girl Lilian weighing in at a 8lb 9oz. Jennifer is married to another industry favourite, Sam Orton-Jay, from Sonic and the whole family are very happy and doing well. We wish them all the love and enjoyment they deserve, but can’t wait to have Jennifer back as the boys here are playing up too much and coming in late.

Would you believe that since 2000. The Pavement staff have given birth to 12 children with all but 2 of them being girls.

The Pavement is 10 Years Old

On 1st February 2010, The Pavement had its 10th Birthday. We’d like to thank every client, artist, actor, musician, band, writer, director, distributor, publisher, staff member……..everyone who has pounded The Pavement over these 10 years.

Or very first DVD production booked in on Day 1 was Underworld’s Everything Everything, closely followed by the extraordinary The League of Gentlemen pictured left. We started out with one room based at Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch and a cardboard box as a meeting table, but it set the foundations for 100’s of titles to follow in the years ahead.

David Gilmour Live in Gdansk DVDs for One Fifteen

The Special Edition brings you a 5 disc set of the amazing concert from the Gdansk Shipyard where Gilmour’s band was accompanied by The Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. The set comtained the whole gig on CD as well as the two DVDs produced at The Pavement. This is definitely one of those productions that has longevity in memory for everyone who worked on it.

Flurry.com have posted some amazing figures regarding the sales of Apple’s App Store for both their iPhone and iPod Touch. I think it’s becoming very hard to ignore the impact that these devices and the Apps have made since its launch.

We are full steam ahead with our own Apps development and will be posting very soon further news of the Apps we’ve been working on. Current Apps in development include kids games, bands official apps, TV marketing and pure simple fun stuff.

Sohonet iPhone App

Following on from our own DVD and Blu-ray Bit Budget Pro iPhone Application Application, we are please to announce a calculator App for Sohonet built on the same engine. Having already had a web version on their site for quite some time, Sohonet approached us after seeing our Bit Budget App to could develop something similar for their clients.

Turn around for the Sohonet iPhone Application was three weeks which included Apple’s approval time before going live.

Interest in iPhone Applications continues to grow and we are currently working on several App projects including kids games, charity awareness campaign and a high end music collaboration project. More news to follow.

One of the first films Directed by Oscar winner, Danny Boyle, comes to life on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of 4DVD and Film Four. This is the third time we have brought Trainspotting to DVD in our 10 year history, culminating with this Ultimate Collector’s Edition on both DVD & Blu-ray. Both discs have Extras that we created including a Danny Boyle Interview and Behind the Needle.
